15 WhatsApp reminder templates for dues, loans and meetings
Copy-and-paste WhatsApp messages for savings groups — friendly dues reminders, overdue nudges, loan repayment reminders, payout announcements and meeting notices.
Most missed payments are forgotten, not refused. A well-timed, friendly message fixes the majority of them. Copy these templates, replace the bits in brackets, and adjust the tone to suit your group.
Rule of thumb: reminders to everyone go in the group chat; anything about one person's payment goes privately.

Make reminders automatic
Writing reminders by hand every month gets old fast. The free merry-go-round planner has a one-tap "Remind on WhatsApp" button that lists exactly who still owes for each round. In AwaFund, the member-detail page drafts personalised reminders using each member's real figures — missed months, loan balance or welfare package.

Frequently asked questions
Should reminders go to the group or to individuals?
General reminders work well in the group chat. Anything about a specific member's missed payment or loan should always be sent privately.
How often should we send reminders?
One a few days before the due date and one on the day is usually enough. More than that starts to feel like nagging.
